MCFB Annual Meeting

Monterey County Farm Bureau celebrated 101 years at our Annua Meeting on Friday, October 5th, at the Rodeo Room of the Salinas Sports Complex.  Our luncheon featured Supervisor Simon Salinas, retiring after 12 years as a Monterey County Supervisor, plus many other years as a California Assemblyman and City Council member.  He reflected on his public service career and highlighted some of the significant turning points in public policy.  Congressmen Jimmy Panetta offered a perspective on national politices and the tone of partisanship in Washington, D.C.  California Farm Bureau Federation 1st Vice-President Shannon Douglass encouraged Farm Bureau members to stay engaged and thanked MCFB for our involvement in local, statewide, and national issues.  The business portion of the meeting included the election of new Directors and adoption of changes to the organization's by-laws.

The Board of Directors of Monterey County Farm Bureau thanks all who attended for thier support and continued trust in our organization as an advocate for Monterey County Agriculture.
